The YES-EU EU08 is an 8.49-meter midi electric bus specifically engineered to deliver versatile, high-capacity green public transport for rapidly growing municipalities. By combining a highly agile 8.9-meter turning radius with an optimized 4,500 mm wheelbase, this new energy solution allows operators to easily navigate congested urban centers and tight historic routes without compromising on transit volume. The vehicle comfortably accommodates up to 60 passengers, utilizing a spacious low-floor architecture featuring a single inswing front door and a double outward-sliding rear door. This specific 1+2 door configuration significantly accelerates passenger flow, allowing transit authorities to drastically reduce station dwell times and improve schedule punctuality during peak commuting hours.
Driven by a robust, direct-driven CRRC permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering up to 1,400 Nm of torque, the EU08 effortlessly handles demanding topographies while maintaining strict zero-emission performance. Transit operators can completely tailor their daily operational range through advanced, liquid-cooled CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery configurations spanning from 163.4 kWh to an expansive 310.66 kWh. For maximum depot flexibility and infrastructure integration, the system features highly accessible dual CCS2 charging ports on both the front left and right sides. Fleet managers will observe profound real-world reductions in their total cost of ownership, heavily supported by specialized Michelin radial tires engineered specifically to handle electric vehicle loads, alongside an independent front air suspension system that guarantees a remarkably smooth ride.

YES-EU equips its fleets with industry-leading CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) liquid-cooled high-voltage battery packs. Scalable from 281.9 kWh to 700.2 kWh, these exceptionally climate-resilient packs utilize a proprietary PTC thermal management system achieving a 0.5°C per minute heating rate, which allows them to retain ≥90% capacity even at -20°C. This green transport technology is fully supported by an 8-year or 480,000 km warranty, confidently assuring a State of Health (SOH) strictly above 80%.
Our Electric buses integrate advanced driveline technology to deliver peak performance for green public transport. The vehicles feature weight-optimized ZF AV133 drive axles with a lowered housing, successfully enabling a completely step-free center aisle. Fleets are driven by powerful central motors delivering up to 240 kW and 3,500 Nm of peak torque, which can be supplemented by auxiliary rear motors providing an additional 135 kW and 1,700 Nm for articulated models. To maximize operational uptime, low-maintenance hub units significantly reduce brake disk replacement times, while precision ZF RL82EC front axles and double gasbag air suspension guarantee a stable, highly agile ride across urban routes.
Our vehicles, such as the EU18, are equipped with ZF AV133 drive axles, featuring a weight-optimized and lowered housing that creates a completely step-free center aisle. We deliver the torque and reliability required for demanding urban routes by utilizing powerful central motors with up to 240 kW peak power and 3,500 Nm peak torque. To maximize uptime, our wheel heads feature low-maintenance hub units that reduce brake disk replacement time, while our double gasbag air suspension and precision ZF RL82EC front axles ensure a smooth and stable ride. Complementing this mechanical excellence is an advanced steering system developed by CRRC and equipped with BOSCH steering gears (model 8098, or 8095 for 8.5m versions), providing effortless handling with a maximum steering effort of only 40 N.
The driver cabin is engineered for optimal ergonomics and safety, featuring an ISRI 6860-875 NTS2 airbag-cushioned leather seat equipped with climate control, an off-seat alarm, and a seatbelt warning system. The workstation utilizes the fully customizable Actia Podium II dashboard, allowing operators to configure physical and digital layouts to precise requirements. To ensure maximum visibility, high-definition digital screens are integrated on both sides, replacing traditional exterior mirrors. The cabin is further secured with manually replaceable safety glass on the right side.
Access is facilitated through high-performance door systems. Configurations include inswing mechanisms for the double front doors and sliding mechanisms for single front and rear doors. The system features an automatic photocell-controlled closing mode, which operators can manually override when necessary. For enhanced passenger safety, the doors can be optionally equipped with red, green, and white LED functional warning signals that illuminate during stops and door operation.
YES-EU vehicles are constructed upon a high-strength stainless steel chassis, engineered to deliver exceptional corrosion resistance and a prolonged operational lifecycle exceeding 20 years. The superstructure utilizes high-quality carbon steel, protected by an advanced automated spray-painting process that includes a full-body dipping bath to apply a 25μm primer layer before the final durable coating. Exterior plating and body panels are fabricated from lightweight, highly durable aluminum and fiberglass materials.
The vehicle architecture features closed roofline structure and an aerodynamically sharp, modern front profile. The design allows for complete customization to integrate any operator's corporate identity colors. Furthermore, all exterior information labels and displays are configured to comply with European regulations and specific municipal policies.
The exterior lighting system utilizes advanced triple LED headlights accompanied by daytime running indicators. A smart damping function automatically transitions the main beams to parking lights when the vehicle doors are opened or the parking brake is engaged. The rear incorporates distinctive LED "handrail" shaped taillights, round fog lights, and triple LED indicators. To minimize maintenance downtime, both front and rear body panels are modularly designed for rapid replacement in the event of damage.
The roof architecture, available in black or various grey tones, is structurally engineered to house critical systems while optimizing weight distribution. The CATL LFP battery packs are strategically distributed across the front and rear of the roof to ensure optimal vehicle balance. The roof also accommodates the automatic heat pump air conditioning units. For specialized infrastructure requirements, the roof can be equipped with an optional Schunk SLS 102/103 pantograph system positioned over the first axle to enable ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Passenger comfort and thermal efficiency are maximized through insulated double glazing across the vehicle. Side windows feature a 50% to 70% darkening tint, which can be further enhanced with an auxiliary sunscreen film. To ensure maximum operational safety and unobstructed driver visibility, the front windshield and the primary front passenger door utilize fully transparent glass.
The fleet rolls on Michelin X Incity EV Z tires, which are specifically engineered for the demands of electric buses. Featuring a progressive tread design, these tires deliver exceptional longitudinal and lateral grip across urban environments. By offering a 10% increase in longevity, a 13% improvement in rolling resistance, and a higher load capacity, this tire specification significantly reduces total fleet operating costs (Note: The EU08 model utilizes Michelin 265/70 R19.5 specifications).
Passenger information is communicated via high-visibility Hanover LED RGB displays, configurable across the front, rear and sides of the vehicle.
Dynamic passenger information and multimedia are delivered through ultra-wide, ITxPT-compliant stretched LCD TFT screens. The highly luminous displays can be configured as 48.5-inch ceiling-mounted monitors (1500 nits) placed along the central aisle, or as 37-inch monitors (700 nits) positioned along the top sidewalls. The high brightness and exact placement are tailored to ensure perfect readability from any seat.
Maximizing maneuverability and aerodynamic range, traditional exterior mirrors are completely replaced by high-definition digital camera systems. This comprehensive optical suite fulfills Class II (main mirrors) and Class IV (blind spot) requirements. Additionally, the architecture incorporates Class V, VI, and VIII cameras to eliminate front and rear blind spots, working in tandem with a dedicated lateral camera array to provide automatic blind spot detection.
Security and telemetry are unified through a full-coverage CCTV network monitoring the driver cabin, boarding areas, and the entire passenger saloon. Video data can be recorded locally on a Mobile Digital Video Recorder (MDVR) or streamed directly to the operator's central control unit. Active safety is governed by Streamax's intelligent Bus Transit Solution, providing a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including intelligent Driver Status Monitoring (DSM).
Every vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive emergency response array, including a first-aid station and compartments housing two P6A ABC 6kg manual fire extinguishers. The high-voltage battery compartments are independently protected by an automatic fire extinguishing system engineered by Beijing Century Star. Utilizing localized heat-detecting sensors, this system operates reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 90°C, fully complying with ISO vehicle fire extinguishing vibration standards.
To assist visually impaired passengers and improve overall safety, all internal steps and the deployable wheelchair ramp are highly visible with yellow safety contrast markings. When the ramp is extended, dedicated door lights automatically illuminate the exterior boarding area. Furthermore, dedicated access buttons for wheelchair users are conveniently positioned on both the interior and exterior of the double doors.
Climate control is expertly managed by Songz BMD VI & III electric air conditioning and heat pump units, which feature an Integrated Battery Thermal Management System. Constructed with lightweight LFT and high-strength aluminum alloy, these units utilize R410A refrigerant and deliver exceptional heating and cooling capacities. As an advanced green solution for models like the EU12, operators can select a Konvekta or CLING CO2 (R744).
The passenger cabin serves as a modern connectivity hub, outfitted with comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage via an onboard 4G/5G modem and router, alongside USB-A and USB-C charging interfaces integrated into the side walls. Fleet operations are supported by highly accurate (≥ 99%) automated passenger counting systems at all doors. Additionally, the architecture supports seamless integration of ticketing platforms, comprehensive diagnostic software, and required licensing to ensure uninterrupted digital performance.
To guarantee the safe and efficient operation of these new energy solutions, YES-EU deploys its proprietary Connected Vehicle Cloud Platform (ICV System V1.0). This intelligent telematics architecture centralizes fleet management, providing real-time oversight of energy consumption curves, vehicle safety alarms, and driving efficiency ratings. By enabling remote VCU software updates and precise remote failure diagnostics, the ICV system transforms maintenance from reactive to predictive, mitigating risks and heavily reducing operational downtime.
